Crocs are one of the most comfortable types of shoes available to wear today. Considered a big fad in recent years, the crocs have gone through many design changes. Special styles that are wearable in various different settings are now available, including business acceptable crocs. Crocs are designed to be comfortable on the feet.
They are essentially a plastic clog type of shoe but using materials that are not damaging to the feet. The material used for the “insole” is a special foam resin that forms to the wearer’s feet as the walk making a very custom fitted feeling croc shoe. This design was purchased from the original Canadian based company called Foam Creations.
The crocs company actually got approval for one of their products as diabetic footwear designed to minimize damage to the feet when worn by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. They are now known as an ergonomic solution for the feet in people who have extensive pain in their feet, especially when walking for great distances.
Crocs contain a number of holes in several of their models which have been used by companies such as Jibbitz (now owned by crocs) which snap into the holes for a customization option for the crocs. It was a very popular trend with children, teens, adults and even the elderly enjoying the various customizable accessories available to purchase at stores, accessory shops and online. The croc shoes are also undergoing several evolutions in the design to become more fashionable.
